Wow! Just… WOW! I had NO idea. I’m even more impressed now than I was before. Thanks for sharing this great article and glimpse into your background. Lovely photo, too! You are a beauty.
Stop that now. You’re making me blush and it goes badly with my hair color.
I think that blushing would compliment your hair color!
You’ll have to take my word on this one, Make Roux.
Wow indeed, karen! Why don’t you come over for a month or so and work with the staff of the kitchen at the hotel? They’d love it!

… but where’s the katz?!
Diana.
I’ll have to find a photo of Pavlova to post, Diana. She is like Garbo – mysterious and beautiful.
And it would not please her if I left her to go to Africa, no matter how much I told her it was something I really wanted to do, not even for a few weeks!
But what an essay for the topic ‘How I Spent My Summer Vacation’ that would make.
Okay, here is the glamour cat Pavlova – I’m linking to my daughter’s blog since she has several posts with Pavlova as model.
The Cat of the House
Oh, Pavlova is lovely! Thanks!
I’m quite sure that the next time I get up from the computer she will peremptorially lead me to the other room. She sings as she does this – nonstop. She never became the dancer she was named after but rebelled, and sang instead. Following a cat who is singing feels slightly silly, but when we arrive at the destination – the perfect destination which is some spot on the floor where the energy being emitted from that perfect spot on the carpet must be best somehow – the tables are turned. She becomes silly, utterly so – as she flops in one solid motion (not so very gracefully at all!) onto her side on the floor with a slight thump! and wiggles her head back and forth demanding petting.
I’ll relay your compliment to her then, Diana. I’m sure she’ll like it.
